Private Events
We enjoy sharing our love and knowledge of letterpress printing! We also enjoy hosting individuals and small groups in our studio. Read on to learn about scheduling a tour, a small group workshop, or reserving time with us for guided instruction. We’re also open to renting our equipment and studio space to experienced letterpress printers.
Private Tours
We’re always interested in connecting with other letterpress enthusiasts. Our home-based studio is not typically open to the public, but If you or your small group would like to visit please contact us to schedule a day and time. We’d be happy to show you around and give some simple demonstrations.
Our studio is located on a walk-out basement level. If navigating stairs is an issue we have a direct studio entrance from the street. You’ll traverse across a small grassy area and up one step into the studio.
Small Group & Team Building Workshops
Want to plan creative time with a group of friends, or reinvigorate your coworkers with a team building experience? We can adapt any of our workshop curriculums into private sessions for small groups and teams. The maximum number of guests we can comfortably accommodate is six.
As a general guide, the pricing for private workshops will be the same as public workshops. If we are adapting a workshop to fit the needs of a specific group, we will work with you to determine if the pricing will also change.
Guided Instruction or Equipment Instruction
This category covers a few different kinds of requests we receive.
You’ve got some experience with letterpress and relief printing under your belt. You want to get inky making a project you have in mind, but you need help making your project come to life. Book studio time with us and we’ll guide you through the process and equipment use as you turn your idea into a creative masterpiece!
You’re interested in diving deeper into letterpress. Perhaps you’d like to buy your own equipment, but you’re not sure what’s right for you. We are happy to share letterpress knowledge, equipment moving stories, demonstrate how presses work, and allow you to get hands on. We own the following presses:
Vandercook SP-15, flat bed, cylinder proofing press.
Chandler & Price 11 x 7 Old Style (floor model with foot treadle)
Chandler & Price Pilot (tabletop)
Sigwalt No. 11. (small tabletop)
Hourly Rate = $35/hour
Materials Fee = $25 (If applicable. May increase depending on project scope.)
Studio Rental
If you’re an experienced letterpress printer who needs access to equipment and studio space, we are open to working with you. You provide your own paper, and if the project is quite large, your own ink as well. We provide access to our presses, type, ink and additional tools and equipment. We own the following presses:

Chandler & Price Pilot (tabletop)
Sigwalt No. 11. (small tabletop)
Hourly Rate = $20/hour
Day Rate = $120 (8 hours)
